2012-2015 2013 BMW M135i

Ok, so it's not the prettiest car out there, but nobody is going to argue with the stonking performance on offer for a relatively affordable price. That and you get to say you own a BMW.

Why is the M135i special? Does a 3.0-litre inline six cylinder Turbo Intercooled petrol engine developing 235kW sound special? Yes, methinks so too!

Not only is it powerful but it produces a healthy dose of tyre shredding torque, 450 Newtons from just 1250rpm. Bliss.

In a compact hatch weighing 1413kg's, it's going deliver some serious pace, and that it does with the 0 to 100km/h dash taking 4.9 seconds. That's the same territory as a current WRX STi or VF Commodore SSV-V Redline.

So while it may look like a shopping trolley, it's anything but.

You can see yourself in a low mileage example for the around $33K AUD, not bad for something that was $80K new.

Because the M135i isn't that old, you'll get to enjoy all the latest tech and luxury appointments you expect of a BMW. Like Bluetooth with voice recognition, Touch Screen Multimedia, SAT NAV, premium seven speaker sound system, heated front seats, brake assist, park assist, central locking, dual zone climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights, power everything, leather seating and 18" alloys. Bargain!
