I just love these marketing guys and how they dole out their take on what we want. If you're uber rich and want the latest and greatest hypercar out there, that would be the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Yep, you heard that right, 'Valkyrie.' Apparently attaching the name of a warrior handmaiden of the Norse god Odin to a hypercar is going to have it flying out the window. You could have called it 'Pink Velvet' and still they would have all been snapped up.
Personally, I think they should've kept the AM RB001 moniker, sure it's nondescript but who says it has to mean something.
Aston Martin has made a tradition (dating back to 1951) of V themed car names, starting with the seminal Vantage. Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman quoted the following:
"Aston Martin model names have deep meaning. They need to inspire and excite. To tell a story and enrich a narrative that stretches back some 104-years. The Aston Martin Valkyrie is an incredibly special car that demands an equally remarkable name; an uncompromising car that leaves nothing in reserve. The connotations of power and honour, of being chosen by the Gods are so evocative, and so pertinent to a car that only a fortunate few will ever experience."

Name aside the new Aston Martin hypercar is going to be wild and is set to topple the holy trinity (Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari) when it's released sometime in 2019.
Featuring a V12/electric hybrid drivetrain purported to develop at least 1000bhp, with Aston stating the car will have a 1:1 power to weight ratio. In essence, a road legal Le Mans racer, combining luxury and performance like never before.
The Valkyrie will not be about outright top speed; that will be left to the Bugatti Chiron. As any true enthusiast would know, maximum speed does not necessarily equate to the quickest lap times and this is where the Valkyrie will shine. It will be the quickest road car ever, period. Aston is quoting the Valkyrie will lap England's Silverstone GP circuit a full 20 seconds faster than a Porsche 918 or McLaren P1. Insane!
